Thanks for a great event!
Thanks again for joining us on Friday, September 23 at Thistlethwaite Vineyards for the 2016 Greene County Farm to Fork event! We enjoyed great food tastings from Michael Passalacqua of Angelo’s Italian Restaurant, The Carvery at Meadows Casino, Hott Dawgz, Emerald Valley Artisans, Krency’s Catering, Willow Tree Farms and lots more. The evening also included cooking demonstrations, interactive booths and artisans, a special VIP event and music by the Dan Baker Band.
The Observer Publishing Company is proud to present Farm to Fork events across Southwestern Pennsylvania that focus on eating, cooking and growing local, sustainable food and living a matching lifestyle. Stop back to find out about our next event!
About Thistlethwaite Vineyards
Thistlethwaite Vineyard is located in Jefferson Township in Greene County. The 208 acre Century Farm is home to a winery tasting room in the original farm stable and 5+ acres of grapes with 10 varieties of french hybrid grapes. They grow all of their own grapes to get the juice for wine making, so that they have complete control of the quality from the starting material.
Directions: From I-79: Take Exit 19 (Ruff Creek) and follow signs to PA-221 South (Go 4.9 miles to stop sign). Turn left onto Route 188 towards Jefferson (2.3 miles). Turn left onto Pine Street (1.4 miles). Turn left onto Center School Road (0.6 miles). Turn left onto Thistlethwaite Lane.
A portion of the proceeds from the event benefited the Corner Cupboard Food Bank, a Greene County food bank that distributes food and grocery products through a county-wide network of food pantries and agencies.
